Children First Medical Group is working to send you important information and reminders on behalf of your doctor's office to help you manage your family's health.

Your doctor's office can text you, as well as respond to all your questions via text. They can also share links, phone numbers, and other useful information that you can access directly in the text.

The program began April 26th.

Children First Medical Group has partnered with your doctor's office to establish this SMS campaign which will ultimately improve patient engagement and reduce health care delivery and service disparities.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Text Messages

Texting, how does this work? Is it two-way? If we have questions, will ConsejoSano answer them?

All the texts are two-way and monitored by a live person. CFMG does not use computers to scan messages. A live care coordinator with CFMG will review every message and respond appropriately depending on the member’s questions, concerns, or escalations. Note: CFMG uses auto responses after hours (usually 8pm). This message will alert the member they are closed but will respond to their message in the morning.

Can we opt in and out of the campaign?

Members can opt out of campaigns whenever you want. The first message in each campaign tells you to reply “STOP” or “DNT” to opt out and you will not receive any more messages related to that campaign.

Am I being charged for these text messages?

This is a complimentary service to remind members of wellness visits. CFMG is not charging for this service. However, message and data rates from your cell phone service may apply.

Why am I being messaged and how did you get my information?

The purpose of this messaging is to send important reminders regarding your child’s health and benefits (wellness exams, immunizations etc.). Your health plan provided your contact information. Rest assured that your information is safe and protected. Children First Medical group has partnered with your doctor's office to send messages. For more information on CFMG's SMS campaign, please refer here.

What am I supposed to do with these messages?

It’s hard to keep up with everything that we have to do as parents and guardians, especially physician office visits and immunizations. Our messages are intended to help you schedule appointments to receive this care.

How often will I be texted?

The frequency of the messages may depend on what benefits there may be for you. These messages are customized to your child’s ages and stages.

If I don’t want to be texted but would like to receive the same information that is being shared, where can I access it?

While the information may not be tailored to your child, the recommended schedule for wellness visits and immunizations is available here.

Whom do I call if my information (e.g name or phone number) is not accurate?

Only you can change your personal, identifiable information with your health plan. Even if you call your doctor’s office, only your doctor’s office will know. Not your health plan, for any purpose. Not CFMG. Not ConsejoSano. You may call your health plans 1) For Alliance: Call their number (510)747-4567, or log onto your member portal of Alameda Alliance, at, and change your information. 2) For Anthem: Call their customer service number (800)-407-4627/(888)-757-6034 (TTY)

How do I know I am affiliated with Children First Medical Group Inc.?

You are affiliated with CFMG because your doctor is affiliated with CFMG. If you are not a CFMG member visiting our website and you would like to become a CFMG member, you should contact one of these 2 health plans: 1) Alameda Alliance: (510) 747-4567 2) Anthem: (800)407-4627/ (888)757-6034 (TTY)
